The bible and history teach that trumpets were used for different purposes including sounding an alarm, to signal the movement of many people, to assemble the congregation, going into battle, to announce the celebration of appointed feasts and new moon festivals, as we read in numbers 10:1-10. Of course the feast of trumpets is a new moon sabbath and the day that begins a series of God’s fall holy days. It also represents the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of God’s perfect kingdom on earth. Revelation 11:15 -Then the seventh angel sounded and there were loud voices in heaven, saying “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever”.
We also read of the use of the trumpet in the calling of the saints. 1Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
